Cosmetic & Scratch Repair

Fixes for surface-level damage — deep scratches, brake-dust acid staining, clear-coat peeling, and dulled or oxidized finishes that make a wheel look years older than it is.

Cosmetic & Scratch Repair
From $79/wheel

Not every wheel problem is curb rash or structural damage — a lot of what comes through our door is surface-level cosmetic wear: deep scratches from a bike rack or ratchet strap, brake-dust acid staining that's etched into the clear coat, clear coat that's peeling or cracking, or a finish that's just gone dull and oxidized from years of Arizona sun. None of it affects how the wheel performs, but all of it makes a wheel look years older than it actually is.

The right fix depends on what's actually wrong. Scratches and acid staining that haven't broken through the clear coat can often be corrected with polishing and clear coat restoration. Deeper damage or genuinely failed clear coat needs a partial or full refinish to actually resolve rather than temporarily mask. We'll tell you honestly which category your wheel falls into before quoting a fix.

Most cosmetic repairs are same-day work, and any refinishing involved carries our standard 12-month warranty against peeling or chipping.

Questions

Cosmetic & Scratch Repair — FAQ

Yes, in most cases — brake dust acid staining that hasn't fully etched through the clear coat can usually be corrected with polishing and clear coat restoration. Staining that's been left for years and has actually eaten into the finish may need a partial refinish to fully resolve.
